Postdoc Accelerator Program in Environmental Health

The EaRTH Center Postdoc Accelerator Program in Environmental Health brings together UCSF postdoctoral scholars for bimonthly in-person meetings (alternating UCSF campuses) to address career development with topics including time management, job applications, curriculum vitae and biosketches, research ideas, statistical methods, grant writing, paper submissions, oral presentations and social media tools. Meetings also include faculty guests to discuss their career trajectory with tips for a successful career in academia, importance of diversity, and critiquing papers. This program is directed by Drs. Amy Padula and Joshua Robinson.

Individual Development Plans (IDP) with a faculty mentor team are also created for each postdoc. There is an expected attendance of at least 80% of the meetings (~5 meetings) in the 1-year program (with options to continue after the year). No prior experience in environmental health is required, but an interest is!
